Salty the Label started with an island, a boat, and a childhood spent half in the water.
I grew up on Scotland Island, a little patch of land in the middle of Pittwater, where there are no roads to drive in on and the only way home is across the water. My days were measured by tides and ferry times (literally). We caught the boat to school, to the shops, to see friends. The water wasn't a place we visited, it was the thing our whole lives moved around.
That kind of upbringing gets into you. Salt air, bare feet, jumping off the jetty in your school uniform after school on those hot days, long summers that never seemed to end. And through all of it, I always wore jewellery. But it was never something I took off before a swim. It was something I lived in.
The problem was, most of it couldn't keep up. Pieces tarnished, faded, gave out after a few wears. So I set out to make my own. Jewellery built to endure, designed to move with you from ocean swims to everyday moments.
This is jewellery for salty skin and summer living. It's the island life, made to wear.
