Salty the Label was born from a life lived by the water.
Raised on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, our founder grew up surrounded by boats, salt air and long summer days at the beach. Jewellery was something to live in, not something to take off before a swim.
Frustrated by pieces that tarnished and faded too easily, she set out to create jewellery designed to endure. Pieces made to move effortlessly from ocean swims to everyday moments.

Our Jewellery is 18k PVD gold plated. That means the jewellery has been coated with a layer of 18 Karat gold using a modern process called Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). During this method, 18k gold is vaporised inside a vacuum chamber and bonded at a molecular level to the stainless steel base.
The result is a finish that is:
- Stronger and more durable than traditional gold plating
- Waterproof, resistant to scratches, tarnish, and everyday wear
- Long lasting, with a rich golden shine that endures
